Craft Nights in Silverlake (and other ways to trap the hipsters)

I think I mentioned a few days ago about weekly craft nights in Silverlake at Akbar. This is where we find the hipsters and tell them about the U.C.C!
(plus, I think it looks like a whole lot of fun. it's been going on for several years and it only costs 2 or 3 bucks to participate) Their idea seems to be encouraging anyone to try a craft, so perhaps getting involved and meeting Julianna, the creator, could encourage more serious crafters to try us out.

My favorite place to play a show is this spot in Echo Park called Echo Curio.

Everyone who works there is badass and really supportive of the creative and the odd! They have an egalitarian principle and anyone can contribute pieces in their art exhibits. Currently they have a monster exhibit, november is handmade instruments and december is affordable creations. Consider participating! I left some postcards at the Curio for people to see, but the more we are actively involved in different areas of the community, the more they will welcome us :-)
